This FREE professional learning opportunity is designed to support SC educators as they take a deeper dive into the implementation of personalized, competency-based learning practices. This learning experience is specifically crafted for educators who have prior knowledge of personalized learning or who have completed our self-paced Framework Foundations Series.
How Is Launch Structured?
The structure of Launch is based on a One-Point Rubric that is aligned to the Launch Modules and Learning Experiences. This module series can be used to self-assess readiness levels, implementation progress, and next steps in your or your team's learning journey. In Launch, you can work with others and/or move at your own pace through module content and implementation. Participants can earn 6 renewal credit hours per module completed.
What Topics Does Launch Cover?
The core of Launch is focused on how to make the components of the SC Framework for Personalized, Competency-Based Learning come to life in a school or district context. This PD opportunity is structured into Modules that are aligned to the Framework and contain Learning Opportunities that dive more deeply into each area. Launch PD includes the following modules:
- Module 1: What Does It Mean To Be Learner-Centered?
- Module 2: Diving Into Learning Pathways
- Module 3: Promoting Agency Through Learner Profiles
- Module 4: Assessing Progress in a Learner-Centered Environment
- Module 5: Flexible Learning Environments
- Module 6: Connecting the Dots with Competencies
